I really don't know what the hollywood studios were thinking for putting up such a busy summer?
1.Pirates will be doing $100+ mill first weekend
2.but wait you have Panda 2 and Hangover 2 next week
3.Already 3 big movies in 2 weeks and we have X-men 4 which will be crushed and end up less than $40 mill first weekend but ww well.
4.next we have Super 8,already 4 big movies in 3 weeks,it will garner a pathetic $20 mill opening.
5.Now come June 17 we got GL..$60-70 opening
6.But before GL touches stratosphere,we have a PIXAR sureshot Car 2,kids dominate everytime so GL wings will be cut and end result it will end below $120 mill overall domestically.
7.Come July 1 you got Trans 3,the second $100 mill opening weekend of year and first $1 billionaire ww.
8.Come 15 you have a sureshot HP8..damn
9.Sorry to say,Cap will be crushed byt HP8,opening second with 35-40 mill mark
10.Come July 29 we get the 2nd biggest bomb of year after mars needs mom with the unintentional western cocktail Cowgals and Alihans!!!
11.come Aug 5 we have Rise of Apes
So in all,few good movies will end up 1/2 or 1/3rd money they deserved that Includes Cap America,Super8 and maybe X-men5.I didn't even mention the plethora of comedies coming this summer.
Thor making $400 is respectable and equivalent to $550 of Iron man as Iron man never faced a well set franchise like Fast Five.and Pirates,Panda 2 are way bigger than Indy 4.
So 2011 boxoffice ww shall be something like this.

FANBOYS: Episode 1 BlueRay Vs HD-DVD: The PS3 hack Case
Mr Fido: Blu-ray is not SD or HD Donferri. Its a storage medium. What the guy was pointing out is that the data stored on them is the same. Putting something in a bigger box doesn't make it bigger. You are paying more money for the same data except it has been re encoded with parameters to STRETCH it to a larger size mathematically so it will render at higher resolutions. You can do the same thing using an upscaler on the standard DVD version and you would get the same quality.
Also, blu ray disc are slow (this is why most things on the PS3 MUST install before you play them) and a lot of that data in the game is duplicate data use to increase load times. Go look at the size almost any ps3 game that has been uploaded to the internet. Most of them could fit on a regular dvd because all of the padding and dummy files have been removed. The only ones that can't are the ones that are loaded with uncompressed voice data and HD CG movies and FMVs.
Mr. Frudo: Seems like you don't know anything about storage size and resolutions. Ofcourse blue ray is a storage medium that it allows HD (1080p) resolution possible. Smaller medium forces compression which results in lower quality. Upscaling allows it to multiply the pixels into 1080p level but you don't get the same quality as HD video with uncompressed audio. Higher resolution doesn't automatically mean higher quality. Also, blue ray disc is not slow, its the medium of reading the disc is slow, read speeds are getting faster with new players. Anyone who thinks that 25gb (blue ray) is same as 5gb (DVD) is probably suffering from serious mental disorder.

However, all of that space is squandered because most (not all) Blu Ray movies are pressed using the same master file that is used to press a DVD. If you are going to watch upscaled DVD masters on a Blu Ray, you might as well watch a DVD itself and just upscale that.

Captain America enjoys the same stature in the marvel world that Batman enjoys in the DC universe.The able leader of Team of Avengers,Captain America is simply the "papa" of Iron Man and Spiderman with his Super Soldier Strength,agility,vibranium-admantium alloy induced shield and his intuitiveness.But with all the Anti-American air around us,the new world after 9/11 ,the war on terror aka War for Oil,will this symbol of American Strength be accepted by non-American audience? The best part,I feel proud to be Indian cuz we feel proud over everything,a NRI(non reliable Indian) gets nominated somewhere,gets to spacewalk and we feel proud of him/her even though they really don't care about being Indian(in some cases they r like coconuts,brown outside,but on the inside more white than the whites!!!haha

Game Review:Call of Duty: Black Ops
Preplay: Man!! Its here like everyyear.The Call Of Duty games have become annual event like many of our important festivals and even birthdays.We may forget Earth Day but we all remember the date the next CoD will arrive.Amazing that only a CoD has been able to suprceed a CoD from past 4 years in terms of popularity ans sales.lets see what tryarch has to offer in the wake of disruption of our beloved Infinity Ward.
Story: Best one yet.Thrilling,Action packed and keeps you on the edges of your seat throught for about 5-6 hours.Voice acting is Stellar.Sam Worthington is rally amazing as Alex mason.I wont tell nothing..evry twist is important.
Gameplay:Its the great old CoD formula and they have rightly not messes with it.Though they have added some elements first for a CoD game like flying a Chopper,driving a Boat and an amazing Terminator 2 esque bike sequence.Leaning comes back but we have already forgotten using it.Crossbow as a weopan addition is effective and fantastic.
Graphics and Sound: Sound has been CoD's forte and industry legend.graphically the engine has churned out amzing setpieces and is certainly up to date.
